About Us
Limitless Learning, Limitless Possibilities.
Overview
Daar-ul-Hikmah Group of Schools, Ileogbo is an Islamic educational institution offering a complete pathway from early years through to senior secondary school. Owned and managed by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Ileogbo Central Branch, the school was established to meet a growing need for balanced education among the children of the Muslim community — an education that is academically sound and firmly grounded in faith.
Our name, Daar-ul-Hikmah, means “The House of Wisdom.” It captures our purpose exactly: to be a place where knowledge is sought, character is formed, and every learner is prepared to succeed in this world and the Hereafter. Guided by the Qur’ān and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as understood by the pious predecessors (the Salaf), we aim to produce well-educated young people who will become role models and leaders for humanity.
Our Story
Daar-ul-Hikmah began in September 2007, when the MSSN Ileogbo Central Branch opened an Islamic nursery and primary school in a rented apartment at Oke Odo, along the Aiyedire Local Government secretariat road, Ileogbo. It started modestly — with just thirty-two pupils across Kindergarten 1 and 2 — but with a clear and ambitious vision.
Acceptance grew quickly, and so did the requests from parents for the school to continue beyond primary level. In September 2011, the secondary section was founded with about twelve students. From those humble beginnings, Daar-ul-Hikmah has grown into a group of schools spanning creche and daycare, nursery, primary, junior secondary and senior secondary education — all held together by the same founding vision and values.
Today the school is headquartered at the Bilal Ibn Rabbah Islamic Centre, off Kuta Road in the Akosa area of Ileogbo, and continues to develop its people, its programmes and its facilities in pursuit of a single goal: to be a leading Islamic school in Nigeria, in shā’ Allāh.
To draw together parents, staff and the wider community to provide the support our students need as they take personal responsibility for acquiring the knowledge and skills to succeed — in this life and in the Hereafter.
To become a leading Islamic school in the nation — one that follows the Qur’ān and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in accordance with the understanding of the Salaf — producing well-educated students in both secular and Islamic studies who will become future role models and leaders for humanity.
